In the French History, sometimes values collide during national discussion about Societal issues. Questions around family issues and education are not forgotten and the heated debates about gay marriage illustrates this perfec- tly, just as the recent debates about assisted reproduction and surrogacy. Those debates are questioning new forms of families and parenthood. Youth workers are the key issues of those problematics, by their daily work with children, youths and their families. Indeed, be in school or other educatio- nal structures, the evolution of parenthood and thus family units, come and challenge caring and educative and pedagogical support. This conference will provide a better understanding of what is at stake and foster rational thinking and practices.
