After some twenty years teaching in the Meuse department, he joined CASDEN as National Representative and subsequently as General Representative for the Civil Service.

In these various roles, he led an activist network across mainland France and the overseas territories. He also signed numerous agreements with organisations committed to education, including Ceméa.

Passionate about cinema, culture, travel and engaging with others, learning and sharing his knowledge and perspectives have been key commitments throughout his career, which he continues to pursue with the same enthusiasm as a recent retiree. As a member of various foundations and associations, and in his capacity as a festival partner, he has accompanied Lilian Thuram at previous editions.
