N. T. Binh is a former senior lecturer in film studies at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, co-editor and member of the editorial board of the journal *Positif* (written by Yann Tobin), a documentary filmmaker and an exhibition curator. He is the author, co-author or editor of some twenty books on Joseph Mankiewicz, Ingmar Bergman, Jacques Prévert, Marcel Carné, British cinema, Paris in cinema, directing actors, music and cinema, and so on. He was awarded the French Film Critics’ Union Prize in 1991, 2005 and 2010. Recipient of the Union of Film Journalists’ Award for Best Interview in 2018 and 2025.
