Discover a new perspective on today’s world: stories about legacy, empowerment, sharing and humanity

Like the films in the Feature-Length Fiction competition, the official selection for Documentaries will also shine a light on the world through films that explore family , individual, and community portraits.

With 6 out of 8 films directed by women, they will also tell powerful stories in front of the camera (To Hold a Mountain, A Fox Under a Pink Moon, Nicole, Nicole).

Several co-productions will spotlight different countries and invite you on a journey: Morocco (Du Soleil et du Plomb), Burkina Faso (Wolobougou), and Kosovo (La Beauté de l’Âne). These films will immerse you in cultures and traditions through moments of sharing that are joyful and simple, set in the first space dedicated to “living together”: the school (Belleville Kitchen, Jardin d’Enfants).

Learning and emotion will join their forces to bring these films to life; their sensitivity will captivate you while exploring themes important to FiFe: family, struggle, justice, equality, social activism, and empowerment…

The committee is made up of six members, a special thanks to them: Louise Camerlynck, Nathalie Dupont, Rosemonde Doignies, Clara Legrout, Michel Rebourg, and Franck Valèze.
