Synopsis
The South African province of Free State is a stronghold of the Afrikaners: an isolated white community. In this rural and conservative world where strength and masculinity are the watchwords, Janno is different; he is frail and reserved. One day, his mother, a fervent Christian, comes home with Pieter, a street orphan she is determined to save and asks Janno to accept him as a brother. The two boys struggle for power, inheritance and parental love.
